Baracuda Automatic
Pool Cleaners
Baracuda pool cleaners for every pool size and budget. Suction-side technology that connects to your existing pump. No booster pump needed, no complicated installation. In stock at our Roodepoort and Nelspruit branches.
Reliable, Quiet, Effective
Baracuda has built a reputation for quiet, efficient pool cleaning. Their suction-side cleaners connect to your existing filtration system and move around the pool floor and walls, picking up leaves, sand, and debris without you lifting a finger.
What sets Baracuda apart is the range of cleaning mechanisms. Some models use a diaphragm (similar to Kreepy Krauly), while others use a rotating disc. The disc models are popular in areas with fine Highveld dust because they maintain consistent suction even with small particles.
We stock the full Baracuda range at our Roodepoort branch, with key models available in Nelspruit. Not sure which model suits your pool? Walk in or WhatsApp us your pool details and we will point you in the right direction.

EnquireBaracuda FAQ
How does Baracuda compare to Kreepy Krauly?
Both are suction-side cleaners that connect to your existing pump. Baracuda tends to run quieter and some models use a disc mechanism instead of a diaphragm, which means different maintenance. Kreepy Krauly has a larger spares network in South Africa. The right choice depends on your pool, your pump, and your budget. We stock both and can advise.
How long does a Baracuda cleaner last?
With proper maintenance, a Baracuda cleaner should last 3 to 5 years. The main wear items are diaphragms or discs, foot pads, and hoses. Replacing these on schedule keeps the cleaner running efficiently and extends its overall lifespan.
Can I use a Baracuda on a fibreglass pool?
Yes. Baracuda suction cleaners work on fibreglass, gunite, and marbelite pool surfaces. The smooth operation and soft foot pads mean they won't scratch or damage your pool finish.
My Baracuda is stuck in one spot. What is wrong?
Usually a blocked hose, worn foot pad, or incorrect hose length. Too many hoses and the cleaner can't navigate properly. Too few and it can't reach the full pool. Bring it in and we will check the setup and adjust if needed.
