What size pump does my pool need?
Pump size depends on your pool volume and plumbing diameter. As a rule, your pump should turn over the full volume of your pool in 6 to 8 hours. Bring your pool dimensions to either branch and we will calculate the correct pump size for you. Oversizing wastes electricity. Undersizing leaves your water cloudy.
Are variable speed pumps worth it in South Africa?
Yes. With Eskom tariffs increasing every year, a variable speed pump typically pays for itself in 12 to 18 months through electricity savings alone. They also run quieter and put less strain on your plumbing, which means fewer repairs over time.
How long should a pool pump last?
A quality pool pump should last 5 to 8 years with proper maintenance. That means keeping the basket clean, checking for air leaks, and not running it dry. We service and repair all major brands if yours is struggling before that.
How do I know when to replace my pool pump?
