Baileys Pool
Adhesives & Sealants

Pool-grade adhesives, sealants, and bonding products for repairs, tiling, fibreglass work, and plumbing. The right products for repairs that hold up in chlorinated water and South African sun.

The Right Product for Pool Repairs

Pool repairs demand products that can handle constant water exposure, chlorine, UV radiation, and temperature swings. Standard hardware store adhesives and sealants are not built for this. They break down, peel off, and leave you with the same problem a few months later.

Baileys manufactures a range of adhesives, sealants, and bonding products specifically rated for pool and wet-area applications. Their tile adhesives bond underwater. Their silicones resist chlorine. Their PVC cements create permanent joints. When you use the right product, the repair lasts.

We stock the most commonly needed Baileys products at our Roodepoort branch. Tell us what you are fixing and we will point you to the right product and talk you through the application. Most pool repairs are straightforward when you know which product to use and how to prep the surface.

Baileys FAQ

Can I repair pool tiles myself?

Yes, with the right adhesive and preparation. Drain the pool to below the repair area, clean the surface thoroughly, apply Baileys pool tile adhesive, and press the tile into place. Allow full cure time before refilling. For large areas or structural concerns, we recommend a professional. For a few loose tiles, it is a straightforward DIY job.

How do I fix a crack in my fibreglass pool?

Small cracks and chips can be repaired with a fibreglass repair kit. Clean the area, apply resin and matting, let it cure, then sand smooth. The repair is waterproof and structurally sound. For cracks longer than 30cm or in structural areas, get a professional assessment first.

What sealant should I use around pool fittings?

Pool-grade silicone sealant rated for chlorine exposure. Standard bathroom silicone will break down in pool water within months. Baileys pool silicone is formulated to resist chlorine, UV, and the constant wet-dry cycle around pool fittings. Available in clear and white.

Why does my PVC pipe joint keep leaking?

Usually insufficient cement, dirty surfaces, or not allowing enough cure time. Clean both surfaces with PVC primer, apply cement to both the pipe and fitting, push together with a quarter turn, and hold for 30 seconds. Allow 24 hours before pressurising. If the joint is already leaking, you will need to cut it out and redo it properly.
