EnquirepH Adjusters
pH Up (soda ash) and pH Down (acid) to keep your water balanced between 7.2 and 7.6. Unbalanced pH makes chlorine ineffective and damages equipment. We stock bulk and retail sizes.

My pool is green. How do I fix it?
First, bring a water sample to either branch. We test it free of charge and give you a step-by-step plan: shock dose, algaecide, filtration time, and follow-up dosing. Most green pools can be cleared in 3 to 5 days with the right approach. The key is not guessing. Let us test and prescribe the exact treatment.
How often should I add chemicals to my pool?
During summer, test and dose at least twice a week. In winter, once a week is usually enough. Chlorine, pH, and alkalinity are the big three. The easiest approach is to bring a water sample in weekly during peak season. Our free water test takes five minutes and removes all the guesswork.
How should I store pool chemicals safely?
Keep chemicals in a cool, dry, well-ventilated area out of direct sunlight. Never store chlorine and acid next to each other as they can react dangerously. Keep all chemicals away from children and pets. Store in original containers with lids tightly sealed. Replace any chemicals that are more than two years old.
What is the difference between HTH and Africhem?
Both are quality South African chemical brands. HTH is the most recognised name in pool chemicals locally. Africhem offers a competitive alternative at a slightly lower price point.
